End-Frame Scaffolding Practical

This course is designed for workers who erect, dismantle and inspect end-frame scaffolding. The course is a combination of theory (4 hours) and practical (10 hours). Participants will be required to demonstrate skills by erecting, inspecting and dismantling scaffolding. The practical portion of the course requires physical activity including: working at heights, ladder climbing and manual material handling. The course has been designed to meet the requirements of CSA Z797:23 Code of Practice for Access Scaffold is compliant with Nova Scotia’s Workplace Health and Safety Regulations. The training will provide participants with: • The knowledge and skills to recognize, evaluate and control hazards associated with scaffold erection and use • an understanding of NS regulatory requirements regarding scaffold erection, inspection and use. • knowledge and practical experience in the safe erection, inspection, use and dismantling of end-frame scaffolds.
