Excavation and Trenching

This course is designed for participants who may be required to enter or supervise excavations and trenches, assist in civil work, or move heavy equipment. Occupational Health and Safety regulations require a competent person who has knowledge of the OHS Act to manage the worksite. The course content reflects the regulations and requirements for safe excavation and trenching. The course provides a base knowledge of hazards and controls for excavation and trenching work, including how to develop rescue procedures and plans.
