NS Take Home Naloxone Program

The Nova Scotia Take Home Naloxone (THN) Program is led by Nova Scotia Health Authority. The program provides free kits and training to build awareness around stigma, harm reduction, risks and prevention of opioid poisonings, and using a kit to respond to a suspected poisoning. FREE kits are available to all Nova Scotians at risk of an opioid poisoning AND those who are most likely to witness and respond to a poisoning. The goal of the program is to reduce the harms that are associated with opioid poisonings in Nova Scotian communities. This course is available as an optional 30 minute add-on at the end of Basic First Aid training.
