Young workers are full of energy, ambition, and curiosity—they’re eager to contribute and ready to learn. But without proper training and experience, they’re more likely to face risks on the job. Limited exposure to workplace hazards and a lack of safety awareness can lead to injuries and illnesses.
That’s why Construction Safety Nova Scotia offers the Youth Safety Education & Training Program, a resource designed to prepare youth for safe and successful careers in construction. This program gives young workers the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to recognize risks, make smart decisions, and protect themselves at work.
Whether you’re a teacher, guardian, or mentor, you play a vital role in guiding youth toward safe work practices. By encouraging participation in this program, you’re helping them build a strong foundation for a safer future in the workforce.
